Jack and I have been doing Ricketts research for many years now. This is the compilation of what we’ve found. It’s certainly not complete and we’re still hunting for those illusive North Carolina relatives.

We would like to thank the many people who have aided us in this search. Christy Ricketts was one of the first. Bill Dulin, has given us a wealth of information, as he started young in life and talked to the many relatives who have since passed away. His many photos have given life to the people. Dave Jones has given us the bulk of the information on the Grimes line, although Christy, also a Grimes descendent has added her share. We also have received information on the California branch from Rachel Cole, who also gave us many photos.

Recently we were contacted by two Ricketts cousins from Jack's home town, Taunton, Massachusetts. They were able to add additional information and also photos which we will slowly be adding to the site. Thank you so much, Joanne Rinderer and Carole DeCosta!

The new cemetery section shows the gravestones of many of our ancestors and their descendants.

The map section shows how our Ricketts family moved from North Carolina to its present locations.

The military section is a list of all those who served in the military. If you hover your mouse over the flag you'll see what the military service was and you can click on the name to go to their person page. If I'm missing anyone please let me know and I'll correct the error.

The site now contains a search feature. This will find persons who are listed on the site. If the person is still living e.g. a living child, there will be a link to the parents.

You can also use the surname index to find a person you know. This option will not find people who are living it will only find people included on the site.

I have added map links to the person pages. If you click on the icon after a place this will take you to a Google map to show the location of that place. However, in some cases the link may not work e.g. a place that no longer exists. If you find any links that do not work, I would appreciate it if you would contact me and advise me. Then I can manually create the link to correct the problem.
