  • Fred Calvin Ricketts -Was a Mississippi Choctaw Indian through his great-grandmother, Patsy N. McCann (Na Ta Ka Cha)

  • Nell (Ricketts) Penix (1897-2003) -Nell, as she preferred to be called) lived to be 105 years old. She lived in three different centuries!
  • James Clarence Nichols -He was a 20mm anti-aircraft gun crewman, 7th Divison on the U.S.S. Indianapolis. He survived the sinking of the ship after delivering atomic bonb parts to Tinian Island. He was rescued by the U.S.S. Bassett after four days adrift in the Pacific. He was awarded the Purple Heart, American Theater with one bronze star and World War II Victory and Asiatic Pacific Campaign (with four bronze battle stars) Medals. He also received the Navy Unit Commendation and Combat Action ribbons for his service onboard the U.S.S. Indianapolis
